Diane McGregor is an abstract oil painter who lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
She has been exhibiting her work for over 20 years, and her art is represented in public
and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
McGregor was born in Philadelphia in 1958, and grew up in rural areas of Connecticut and New Jersey.
She studied art and art history at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she received
a BFA with Honors in 1985. McGregor's education in art has been enhanced by traveling
throughout Europe, Russia, Africa, and South America. She has lived and worked in Paris
and Budapest.
After living on the Big Island of Hawaii for over a decade, McGregor moved to Santa Fe in 2001.
She lives with her astronomer husband and their three dogs, a parrot, and a pet skunk.
When she is not painting, McGregor works as a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, caring for injured
and orphaned birds and mammals.
